Rob likes to hike in the woods, play guitar and make stories, among other things. When he was young, he played with Star Wars action figures. When he was less young, he played in a folk band and married a wonderful girl. Several years ago, he had an idea for a story that refused to be ignored. So he began to write it down.

Rob spends most of his days with that same wonderful girl in the woods, in a green wooden house filled with two needy dogs, four guitars, six or seven cats, and an abundance of love and grace. He still has his original action figures. From their vantage point on his study shelf, they watch—twelve tiny merciless overlords.
